Helme veski jahvatab

EST: Siin ei ole mitte midagi välja vabandada. Tegemist on täiesti tavalise aardega, mis juhatab teid jalutama Suure-Lähtru vahele. Kõige vägevam vaatamisväärsus siin on muidugi Suure-Lähtru mõis.

Mõisa praeguse peahoone ehitas aastatel 1775–1778 Karl Gustav von Baranoff pulmakingituseks tema vanimale pojale Christoph Heinrichile. Alates 1996. aastast kuulub Suure-Lähtru mõisa peahoone Mart Helmele. Mõisahoone alumisel korrusel asub hoone ajalugu tutvustav muuseum.

Ajapikku on Mart Helme ostnud Suure-Lähtrus kokku veel arvatavalt mõisaansamblisse kuulunud hooneid – aastal 2005 näiteks aida, mida ümbritseb ligi 2900 ruutmeetrit maad. Järgneva kolme aasta jooksul soetas Helme mõisa peahoone lähistel veel kolm kinnistut: Alttoa, mõisa kuivati ja veski.

Vägeva veski või vähemalt selle mis veskist peale suurt jahvatamist on järgi jäänud märkisimegi ära aardega.

Aarde otsimisel ja logimisel jääge märkamatuks, lähedal asuva põllumajandusettevõtte tõttu on oht saada paljastatud ;)

ENG: This is just an ordinary geocache that guides you for a walk towards Suure-Lähtru. The most impressive sight here is, of course, Suure-Lähtru Manor.

The current main building of the manor was built between 1775 and 1778 by Karl Gustav von Baranoff as a wedding gift for his eldest son Christoph Heinrich. Since 1996, the Suure-Lähtru Manor main building has belonged to Mart Helme. On the ground floor of the manor house, there is a museum introducing the history of the building.

Over time, Mart Helme has purchased several other buildings in Suure-Lähtru, which are believed to have belonged to the manor complex – for example, in 2005, the granary along with about 2,900 square meters of surrounding land. In the following three years, Helme acquired more properties near the manor’s main building.

It was this mighty mill – or at least what remains of it after heavy grinding – that we marked with the geocache.

When searching and logging the cache, stay discreet. Because of the nearby agricultural company, there is a risk of being spotted ;)
